Grief and loss

After a death, a miscarriage, a diagnosis or the end of something that mattered.

What it can feel like

Grief is rarely tidy. It can be sadness one day and anger or relief the next. Sometimes it arrives months later, just when everyone else expects you to be fine. There is no right way to do it and no deadline.

How talking can help

A counsellor gives you somewhere to talk about the person or the loss without worrying about upsetting anyone. You can go over the same memories as many times as you need. Some people come for a few sessions, others for longer.

What sessions are like

Samir sees many clients after a bereavement, including people who lost someone a long time ago and are only now ready to talk. Sessions go at your pace.
